I use Codex mainly to code but I just found out it can generate images. You should definitely give it a try if you haven't until now.
I also built a custom skill for my Hermes agent that calls the Codex CLI to generate images, basically I can use my ChatGPT Pro subscription instead of the API.
Codex generating images is the kind of feature creep that fits the post's "everything app becomes a nothing app" worry, but your skill is the smarter read: routing the CLI through your Pro sub instead of the API is exactly the arbitrage that shows up when the agent itself is free and value shifts to who orchestrates it. The harness wins, not the model.

This is super cool! Are you using the $imagegen skill for that?
Yup! I built a wrapper around the $imagegen skill, so my Hermes agent basically prompts Codex CLI to use that skill.
